Direct Care Work
I have been a doula for over ten years, supporting families from all income levels, cultural backgrounds, religious affiliations and personal histories. In my doula support, I bring my background and training in social work, trauma informed care, postpartum mood and anxiety disorders, tens unit, massage, yoga, parenting education and childcare to provide you and your family with comprehensive support. I primarily offer birth services independently, but I also enjoy working with other birthworkers in a collaborative partnership model. The benefits of a co-doula relationship is amplified expertise and a varied approach to education and support, as well as sustainability for the birth team (ability to always be "fresh" during your birth). Prices for collaborative services are more expensive, ranging from $2500-3500, but feedback from clients who've chosen this model has consistently been, "it was worth it." Please let me know what your budget is in our consultation and we can design services that cater to your needs and budget. Sample individual service packages are below: |
Birthwork is so much more than birth work. I offer doula support for people experience other life transitions and medical situations. A few examples of previous support I have provided include:

Education and Training
I provide individuals and groups with education, training and support, individualized to you or your teams needs.
When working as a sexual health educator, I realized that many of my adult friends lacked basic reproductive information. Eager to inform, I spent nights at bars drawing diagrams of reproductive anatomy and having in-depth discussions around hormones and birth control. I have led trainings at conferences for service workers, teachers, coaches, youth care staff, and birthworkers around pregnancy, parenting, and sexual health through a trauma-informed lens.

Systems Support
I have led groups, nonprofits, and coalitions though change processes- beginning first with a thorough needs assessment to identify strengths and barriers faced, building trust through relationships, and creating an actionable work plan to generate desired outcomes. I then continue to work alongside folks to ensure success. I am particularly interested in supporting change in healthcare settings and nonprofits. We can all do better to breakdown the systems that are upholding white supremacy and re-envision and re-create care work that is rooted in community.
In this work, I often pull in a few colleagues to support the systems change you desire. Expect to partner with experts from diverse fields and backgrounds, and to hear directly from the people you provide services to. This work can be uncomfortable, so expect growth and growing pains. Be assured, I will bring joy into this work, and provide the needed supports to you and your team when things are tough. I will be moving alongside you and cheering you on!
